Classic Cherry Pie

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. tapioca
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 c. sugar
- 6 drops red food coloring
- 3 c. water packed red sour cherries (drained)
- 1/2 c. cherry juice
- 1/4 tsp. almond extract
- 1 Tbsp. butter (to dot pie)
Steps

Check cherries for pits

Mix all ingredients and let stand for 15 minutes

Pour into a 9″ pie shell

Dot with 1 Tbsp butter

Add top crust. If a solid crust, cut slits to vent

Cover edges with foil and bake at 425* for 20 minutes

Cover the rest of the pie with foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes
