Jane’s Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 lb. sausage (not hot or add an additional 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 2 small onions
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 bell pepper
- 1 Tbsp. garlic
- 24 oz. tomato sauce
- 2 small cans tomato paste
- 16 oz. water (fill empty tomato paste cans to measure)
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- 2-3 bay leaves
- 3-4 celery stalks
- 6-7 Greek salad peppers
Steps

Brown the ground beef and sausage with the onions, chili powder, bell pepper, and garlic over medium heat

Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, water, sugar, salt, pepper, bay leaves, celery, and Greek salad peppers (pinch before adding to release flavor)

Turn to low heat and simmer for 3-4 hours, stirring occasionally

Serve over spaghetti
